National Oil is honored to be hosting this prestigious Pan-African event which now moves into its 11th year and we are committed to upholding the conference’s excellent tradition of providing the participants with an ideal forum at which to discuss and debate the most current and topical issues in the energy sector.

National Oil Corporation of Kenya spearheads petroleum exploration on behalf of the Kenya government and is responsible for overseeing the fulfillment of petroleum exploration companies' obligations in accordance with contracts signed with the Kenya Government. The corporation also provides and disseminates exploration data from various exploration activities through its advanced data centre and its laboratory.  

Additionally, National Oil manages on behalf of the government storage and disposal of government’s share of oil should there be a discovery.

National Oil is also an active player downstream. The corporation currently operates six fully fledged service stations and nineteen dealer operated stations in the country and is currently embarking on various expansion strategies to strengthen it’s position in the market.

The corporation is also the owner of the most modern fully automated petroleum depot in East and Central Africa. From this depot, the Corporation supplier fuel to companies in the Greater Nairobi region and also loads products for export to the neighboring countries
